This is the apartment guests keep coming back to. It's the second floor of a historic three-story 1900s rowhouse in Mt. Vernon Square: a self-contained 1BR of about 750 sq ft with your own entrance, kitchen and full bath. Private, walkable and right in the middle of everything. The detail that wins people over downtown is the washer and dryer in the unit, so you can pack light and head home with clean clothes. Add a full kitchen plus a kitchenette with a mini-fridge, and it's built for stays longer than a night. Where you'll sleep (up to 4) - Bedroom: queen bed at the quiet back of the apartment, with room-darkening shades - Living room: two single rollaway beds for guests 3 and 4, set up to match the number of guests on your reservation - One full bathroom The kitchen and dining Full kitchen with oven and stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and coffee, and cooking basics, plus a kitchenette with a mini-fridge. A dining table to gather around. Living and work Private living room with a smart TV (sign in to your own streaming accounts), a workspace, and 1 Gbps Verizon Fios Wi-Fi. Comfort Central A/C in summer and classic radiator heat in winter. There is no thermostat inside the apartment: heat is shared across the building, so just message us and we'll dial it in. Stairs The apartment is one flight up a shared staircase, with no elevator, so it isn't a fit for guests who can't manage stairs. All walk times approximate - Mt. - One flight of stairs up to the apartment; not a fit for guests who can't manage stairs. - Pets welcome (up to 2) with a pet fee; list them on your reservation. - No parties or events. - No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property. - Minimum age to book: 25. - Please book the exact number of guests so we set up the right beds. - This is a three-unit building with neighbors above and below. Quiet hours are 10 PM to 7 AM, and please skip jumping or HIIT workouts. - Please don't run the washer and dryer between 10 PM and 6 AM; it carries sound to the other floors. - Exterior Ring cameras cover the front door and back yard. There are no cameras inside the apartment. - Licensed DC short-term rental; the registration number is shown on this listing. - Bag drop before check-in or after checkout is free. Early check-in or late checkout can be requested in your guest portal, subject to availability. Before your stay, you'll complete a quick online check-in with a signed rental agreement and ID verification, to keep every stay safe and to confirm who is staying. Neighborhood

Mt. Vernon Square is one of the most walkable, best-connected corners of DC, right between the Convention Center, Chinatown and the Penn Quarter dining scene. The block itself is a real DC residential street of brick rowhouses under big old trees, so you get downtown energy with a neighborhood feel.

Guest Access

The whole second-floor apartment is yours: private entrance, kitchen, living room, bedroom and bath. Contactless self check-in with a keypad, so arrive on your schedule. Come to the front of the building on 6th St NW, never the alley. Go through the outer gate to the building's front door (first keypad), then walk one flight up the shared staircase to your apartment door, which has its own keypad. The same code opens both doors: it's the last 4 digits of the phone number on your reservation, and it's also in your SuiteOp guest portal. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow, so take your time with luggage. The alley, patio and back deck aren't part of the rental.

Find us

You won't need a car. The Metro is one block away and puts the Mall, the monuments, the Wharf and Reagan National a short ride off. From DCA (Reagan): Yellow line toward Greenbelt, off at Mount Vernon Sq. Your door is a block away. From IAD (Dulles): Silver line to L'Enfant Plaza, go upstairs to the Yellow or Green line, off at Mount Vernon Sq. If you do drive: there is no guest parking at the building, and cars left in the alley or the spot behind the building are towed. Street parking nearby is limited to 2 hours unless you have a free DC visitor parking permit, which you must request online before you park. The step-by-step parking instructions will be provided in your SuiteOp guidebook. Please watch the posted street-cleaning signs. Paid garages are about a block away; overnight rates vary, so check the posted rate before you leave the car.
