🌲 Garnerland sits in the Massanutten Forest subdivision, a quiet wooded community of larger lots a few miles outside Luray. You are on 3 acres, so the neighbors are there but not on top of you. Luray is the closest town for groceries, restaurants and the caverns, and it is the west-side gateway to Shenandoah National Park. The Shenandoah River runs through the valley for tubing and paddling in the warm months, and the whole area turns gold in October. Guest Access

You have the whole main cabin, the attached guest suite, both screened porches, the deck, the hot tub, the fire pit, the grill and the grounds, including the ponds and footbridges. Not part of the rental: • The detached metal garage. This is the owner's private residence. Please do not approach it or let kids or dogs wander in. • The basement, where the router and utilities are. The exterior basement door is for our cleaning and maintenance crew. • Any locked owner closets. Don, the owner, lives in the garage with a small long-haired dachshund. He keeps to himself. If you see him, say hello or don't, whatever you prefer.

🚙 A car is a must; there is no public transit or rideshare to count on out here. The last stretch is subdivision roads, fine for any vehicle most of the year. In winter, snow tires or AWD are smart for the mountain roads around Luray, and Skyline Drive closes during snow and ice.
